Microsoft recognized the active technical communities in India at the closing note of TechEd India 2014. I was fortunate to be among the people who were called upon. The three user groups that got recognized were:
For the Bangalore IT Pro group, I credit this recognition to Kaliyan Selvaraj, who was the founder and relocated to Singapore later, for all the hard work he had put in building this group. We cannot run the show without a lot of support from Microsoft in terms of facilities and providing access to the Microsoft evangelists to work with us. Talking about the evangelists, these technical communities are grateful to folks like Vinod M, MS Anand, Pracheta B, Sandeep Alur, and many more I did not mention here. Usha, who is the community manager at Microsofr deserves a mention here. She is new to the role but has been pulling strings to get us the support we need from all directions.
